No Google Maps, just a real surf trip.

Luke Hynd, Alex Dive and Sean Kettle found a window and devised a hit and run mission, only planning on heading towards a coastline… not an actual destination. With no expectations on what they were hoping to score, or preconceived ideas of what they would find, the boys lost themselves in the rare experience of letting their intuitions guide them to waves… not Google Maps.

The result? Dead-end roads, empty lineups and a trip that’s not easily forgotten. Watch the adventure unfold over 3 minutes here and let your imagination run wild.

Dragon’s MDX motocross goggle has been a gold standard for classic goggle design in the motocross world. The secure fit and premium finish ensure a comfortable, reliable goggle that has been a favourite for many for over a decade.

The MDX2 has a sleek new look and features a cylindrical anti-fog treated lens, premium quad foam technology for maximum sweat absorption, a silicone beaded strap backing, removable nose guard, armoured cheek venting and an available integrated RRS system. The MDX2 is also tear off compatible to safeguard clear vision in the most challenging conditions. These features culminate to form one of the most comfortable and functional goggles available. Click here to see local Dragon ambassador Lance Russell testing out the new goggles in an exclusive edit filmed by Russell Brothers Films.

The very first supercross win for this goggle came in Anaheim in 2002 at the hands of former factory Red Bull/KTM rider, David Pingree.

“I’ve been wearing this goggle since 2001 and the fit is just perfect,” says Pingree. Adding, “I’m pretty particular when it comes to my goggle setup and the MDX model was always legit. With the new MDX2 model the feel is the same but the venting and design is on another level.”

The Dragon MDX2 is available in various lens, frame and strap colour options. Stop in at your local Dragon dealer to see the new MDX2 or visit dragonalliance.com. LWAxDragon001-27 LWAxDragon001-55 LWAxDragon001-49With the customary sunset-over-the-ocean setting the scene, Dragon this week ventured West to celebrate the advent of sunglass season. Held at Beach Bar in Scarborough, the Cheers to Summer Party saw local retailers and industry crew pack into the venue to enjoy the summer-themed festivities. The platters of fresh release sunglasses up for sampling proved a hit, as well as the tropical tunes put on by DJ Boston Switch – stirring a d-floor frenzy that continued well into the night.

What happens when you mix Cuban cocktails, summery beats, a giant game of Twister and a flock of Melbourne’s surf/snow retail and industry crew? Dragon’s Cheers to Summer Launch Party is what. Held at El Coco in Melbourne’s CBD, the tropical-themed venue proved the perfect backdrop to celebrate the release of Dragon’s newest sunglasses, including the popular Monarch and Roadblock styles.

With little regard for the next morning’s usual responsibilities, guests fully embraced the festivities, limbering up for a few rounds of Twister before hitting the dance floor to enjoy tunes put on by Native Spirit, DJ Bags and MC Matty Charles. Click here or images above to relive all the highlights!
