No Google Maps, just a real surf trip.
Luke Hynd, Alex Dive and Sean Kettle found a window and devised a hit and run mission, only planning on heading towards a coastline… not an actual destination. With no expectations on what they were hoping to score, or preconceived ideas of what they would find, the boys lost themselves in the rare experience of letting their intuitions guide them to waves… not Google Maps.
The result? Dead-end roads, empty lineups and a trip that’s not easily forgotten. Watch the adventure unfold over 3 minutes here and let your imagination run wild.
Dragon’s surf team has been on a heater this week – with Mick Fanning taking out the win at Sunset as part of the Vans Triple Crown and closer to home, up-and-comers Kai Warner and Xavier Huxtable winning their respective divisions at the Australian Junior Surfing Titles. Held on North Stradbroke Island with Cylinder Beach turning it on for the finals, Kai scored an incredible 9.75 in the Under 18 Boys Final to secure the victory, while Xavier Huxtable impressed throughout the contest and was named Under 14 Boys Champion after scoring a 9.25 (for a combined heat total of 14.75) in the final. Congratulations to all the guys for an epic week of surfing!
Congratulations to Luke Hynd for landing the cover of the latest Tracks Magazine! Check out more details here.
